FESTIVAL

The Global Values Festival is a unique festival of dance art, a meeting place for different cultures and artistic traditions. The festival, held on the main stage of the Alexandrinsky Theater, included the Gala Concert by the participants of the international educational project Innopraktika School. For three weeks, choreographers and dancers from Russia, Italy, Hungary, Romania, India, the USA and other countries studied and collaborated at the Boris Eifman Academy.

True masters, winners of numerous prestigious awards: Konstantin Keichel, Balazs Baranyai, Olga Vasilieva, Ernest Nurgali, Alexander Chelidze and Konstantin Matulevsky acted as choreographers for the festival and the educational program from Russia. International choreographers, in turn, had the opportunity to work with students and soloists of the Boris Eifman Ballet Theater. A series of productions with a unique scenographic design and an independent choreographic score were united by the common theme of the choice of values between internal personal guiding principles and the external influence dictated by society.

St. Petersburg Eifman Ballet presented an exclusive gala program in the second part. It included excerpts from selected productions of the world-famous choreographer and "theater wizard," revealing many years of his personal and creative development: "Russian Hamlet," "Eugene Onegin," "Rodin, her eternal idol," "Anna Karenina," "The Pygmalion Effect" and others. More than 2,000 people attended the festival over two days.
